Final Car Wash ReminderPosted by CHS Robotics on July 11, 2010
Final Reminder + info for Car Wash tomorrow:
1. If you have not signed up yet for any day, shame on you. sign up, it only takes 10 seconds!
2. The car wash is at 1699 South De Anza Boulevard Cupertino, CA 95014-5301 (It is the Valero Gas Station)
3. Get there 10 min early to help set up & quickly learn how the flow of customers will work. Bring a water bottle + sunscreen, eat lunch beforehand, wear your RED ROBOTICS SHIRT
4. Mr. Williams has been very generous to lend us his hoses + other supplies for the car wash. It goes without saying (but saying just in case) that you WILL NOT fool around with the hoses. Also, they break easily, so if you operate the hose, set the nozzle on the ground, don't just drop it.
5. The car wash is free, but we ask customers to give a donation if they would like to support our team. Otherwise customers would just pay an obligatory $5.
6. Apologies that the car wash coincides with the WC Finals tomorrow. Go to the car wash, IT IS FROM 12-4
7. We are trying to make enough money to cover Cal Games registration fees, on top of a $50 cost of water each day. Use that as an incentive to work really hard!
See you there!

Meeting Debrief May 27th 2010Posted by Abdelwahab Bourai on May 27, 2010
Today's meeting at lunch was the final lunch meeting of the year. Some key points that were discussed:
1. There will be a potluck on June 13th along with a debrief of the season.
2. Anyone with pictures of the entire 2010 season is invited to submitted their photos to a Picasa account. The username is chsrpics[at]gmail.com (ask officer for password if you forgot it). Make sure to create your own album when uploading.
3. A few members volunteered to act as a "guinea pig" group in order to test our new training program. The program will be explained thoroughly soon.
4. A new scheduling system was introduced. Any team that needs to have the roboshack open in order to work on a project must submit a request on a google calendar spreadsheet. To access it, the username is chsrcal[at]gmail.com (ask an officer for the password).
5. Lynbrook has invited us to a BBQ tentatively scheduled for the first Sunday of summer. More details coming soon.
6. ANYBODY WHO ORDERED SHIRTS MUST PAY THEIR FEES! We have a list of those who paid and those who didn't. There will be consequences...
On a brighter note, there are only two more weeks of school. Stay tuned for more announcements.
Mandatory 2010 NASA FRC Exit SurveyPosted by Eric Jang on April 29, 2010
As the season is winding down, NASA is asking EACH AND EVERY TEAM MEMBER TO COMPLETE THEIR EXIT SURVEY, located here . Like the Google responses, the completion of this survey is essential for future sponsorship from NASA. It is a really short survey, and does not take more than 5 minutes of your time. The survey responses are due by Thursday, May 6th.
Welcome to the CHS Robotics WebsitePosted by CHS Robotics on April 29, 2010
Welcome to the new site! It is still a work in progress as not all things are finished, but we would like to extend our sincerest gratitudes to Anthony Kao, who redesigned our site for us.
This is the home page, where we will be posting future announcements. A link to our calendar is also on this page.
There are a lot of things going on behind-the-scenes right now so that we can ensure a successful season next year. There will be a team meeting coming up (tentatively a potluck after school where we will be discussing lots and lots of things). Also, we understand that many of you need more training - that will come very soon as well. Stay tuned!
Go team 2473!

about
As the first and only robotics team in Cupertino High School, our goal is to provide students with opportunities to learn hands-on engineering and team building processes that classes would not be able to offer. We welcome students from diverse backgrounds and hope to join everyone together to explore the marvels of engineering and business management.
